The toes grew claws and fur, the same shade of blue as her arms, tail and face. Similarly, her feet shifted upwards, giving her a slightly taller stature. As she got caught up in its glow, the changes flourished once more, her hands became paw like, with pads adorning the inside of them. She imagined it nodding in acknowledgement, this had to be its doing. "wait.am I just gonna turn into.like a werewolf or something.?" Claire looked back up at the moon's pale light. Her ears shot up to attention, very sensitive and wolffish. "ow ow ow." She said, her mouth slowly shaped itself outwards, becoming a lovely snout. She looked back up at the moon again, and then a large pain flared up in her face. "This is so cool!" She exclaimed, dancing around in happiness. It didn't move much, and she felt a bit of pain as she pulled on it. "What?" Claire said, giving the tail a firm tug. She turned to see she had a strange blue tail hanging out behind her. And at the end of her spine, the chilling sensation grew into warmth, followed by a strange sensation of something rubbing against her leg. The blue light shined back, and a cold shiver went down her spine. Up in the sky, the moon shone down on the world, with an eerie blue light. It was a bit early in the morning, she had woken up an hour earlier to see it. The art is signed “Tundra Echos 1-2023.” End Image Description.Claire walked outside. In addition to this, the moon itself emits a faint blueish glow for reasons that may or may not be related to The Scar. These are visible even when the moon is not lit by the sun. But its appearance has one very noticeable difference: There are three huge streaks of blue magic across its surface, often referred to as “The Scar”. But I thought this would be a cool time to share some worldbuilding details for Magicarnivora, because the world of Carnissus has a literal blue moon!Ĭarnissus’s moon is similar to Earth’s in size, distance, orbital period, and composition. Tonight is a blue moon, which on Earth just means the second full moon within one calendar month. In the southern hemisphere these features appear flipped vertically. In the northern hemisphere the moon has dark patches on the top, a pale crater on the bottom-left side, and three streaks of blue on the bottom right side. The second image is a simple drawing of this moon, as seen from the northern hemisphere. The whole moon has a faint bluish-white glow. The moon is partially lit, and looks similar to earth’s moon except for a few streaks of glowing blue that are visible even on the unlit side.
